Social work

Graduates of this degree course must:

  1. possess adequate knowledge of the basic disciplines of social work;
  2. have command of the methods and techniques used in the field;
  3. possess practical competences for the handling of social hardships when dealing with individuals, groups and communities;
  4. be able to work in groups;
  5. be able to transfer the services carried out for a specific situation into the general, economic and social context of the community;
  6. possess adequate skills and tools for the effective communication and management of general information as well as of the information specifically pertinent to citizen rights;
  7. possess the ability and skills to interact with various cultures, including immigrant populations, so that multiethnic and intercultural relations may take place.
